DIFL Quarter Final action kicks off tonight

Sixteen finalists now sit just the solitary match away from qualifying for the inaugural Central Coast Mariners FIFA Ultimate Team Pro-Am live finals.

From an original pool of over fifty entrants of professional and amateur standard, these players now hold their destiny in their own hands in do-or-die Quarter Final clashes.

Xbox Bracket

Central Coast Mariner’s own Strawhat Camels takes on Honurbly Beehaa in what is bound to be one of the most anticipated clashes in the quarter finals to date.

Beehaa has had to do it the hard way to get to the Quarter Finals, dispatching of Classic V and then TJ Cheney on the way to his berth, while Strawhat Camels enjoyed a two game domination over replacement team Bronx Nation, winning 4-0 and 10-0.

In what has been billed as one of the most interesting clashes this round, Jaz CB will face off against HighFly357.

Both players enjoyed a Round of 32 bye before defeating Dembois FC and TORZ respectively, with many e-Leaguers avid to see what the result will be.

Midnight Marauders will have it all to do when they face off against Marcus Gomes, of Melbourne City e-League fame, after the latter defeated Griff and Varva X to secure his sport in the Quarters.

It’s bound to be a close matchup, with Gomes yet to strut his stuff in the competition after a bye and a forfeit.

And finally, FUTWIZ Jamie will face off against FUTZ3US in the final Quarter Final of the Xbox bracket.

FUTZ3US survived a best of three against Baldo after his initial 2-0 win over TFA, while FUTWIZ Jamie made easy work of StridentCorn90 in his only DIFL engagement to date.

PS4 Bracket

It’ll be one of the favourites of the competition against a prominent FIFA Youtuber as xMarkoHD takes on AussieFIFAHD.

However, AussieFIFAHD won’t be taking this one lying down, especially after his comprehensive wins against Farqy’s Failures and ArcticWildfire and will fancy his chances of a Sydney visit.

Peter Saisanas, of Perth Glory fame, will have it all to do in his Quarter Final after JesseD1996’s DaSkillva FC pulled off one of the shocks of the competition, knocking out BLFIFA in the Round of 16.

Both sides have two wins under their belt with Saisanas knocking off Specials FC and The Postal Men with ease.

BurgoTFK and Fweshest will face off in an e-League derby of sorts with the Adelaide and Wellington representatives in the e-League matching up in a do-or-die clash.

Fweshest snuck a 3-2 win against BurgoTFK in the e-League competition but both players have endured difficult paths to progression.

Is retribution on the cards?

And finally, another Gomes will be looking to snare a place at the Live event next weekend when they take on Western Sydney’s own RDouble_TT.

Gomes provided another one of the shocks of the competition with a 2-1 win over Mebourne Victory’s Mitch Austin.
